SONICPAGE

Your Web Master is Tom Brennan - g_brennantg@titan.sfasu.edu

About this page . . . Welcome to my little spot on the web. This is a frames disabled page. Most sites on the web today use frames which make them difficult to access for those who use text browsers such as Lynx. Primarily, those folks are blind users. I have, therefore, frames disabled my page which has the added advantage of speeding it up. The same is true of java applications so you will find no java on this page. You will also find no graphics on this page which additionally speeds up loading with three exceptions. I have created a section in memory of my dog Gwen who was put to sleep on September 5, 2002 due to cancer. I have also created a section for my dog, Shae, and there will be several pictures of both of them up at any given time. You will also find itels on my dog Layla in Shae's section. Since Shae and Layla are "sisters" it seems appropriate that they be on the same page. You will also find family pictures on my intro page.

I am using a program called Lynx to access the web and this is what I use to determine if a site is accessible. It is a text only web tool.

Usually, links on a page contain an e-mail link to the web master. I have made this the first link in each section of my page so that anyone will always know that link #1 is e-mail back to me so that if a problem is found it will not be necessary to search for a link and cause you to lose your place on my page while doing so. The only exceptions to this are a few sections of my pages which are in plain text format. For these, simply use your browser's back button. These are mostly stories which I have written and have the .stf extension. If Windows gives you problems reading them, they are simply plain text format. If you cannot read them, simply download them and rename them with a .txt extension to make Windows happy.

All downloadable program files are for IBM compatible (8086-80586) systems and are compressed with Pkzip. They are commented so read these comments as the programs unpack for any special instructions.

All files on this page have been scanned for viruses with several programs. I suggest that you check them after downloading as I cannot be responsible for anything concerning anything downloaded by anyone from my page or any links from my page.

This page is, primarily, intended as information for audiologists and speech-language pathologists. There are other goodies on the page and I hope you will find something to your liking.

I've tried my best not to duplicate links between any two sections of my page. If you find that I have, please let me know so that I can correct the problem. It is my intent that every section of my page contains completely different materials than the other areas.

Feel free to leave me e-mail of any kind. I look forward to hearing from anyone who accesses my page.

What's new . . . Of course, you should consider this page to always be in flux.

On February 21, 2006 I married Dolores Alexander. She was my high school sweetheart in the 1970s and we found each other a couple years ago to discover we still had the old magic. I am now very happily married to Dolores and her two daughters Cecilia and Victoria. It doesn't get any better than this! Reader's Digest stories really do happen to real people.

Cecilia now lives in Austin, TX and is working in food services. She is getting ready to go back to college and work on her degree in sign language.

Voctoria lives in Austin, TX and is currently getting herself together.

On January 17, 2007 Dolores passed her Technician amateur radio examination and also passed her code examination. She was one of the last to take the Morse code test. Anyway, her new call is KE5MBC. On February 13, 2007 she passed her General exam with flying colors. On July 27, 2007 she passed her Amateur Extra exam and has now reached the highest licensing level for amateur radio in the U.S.
